Basic Information
Mass in English is celebrated in Poznań Cathedral (Ostrów Tumski) every Saturday before the second Sunday of the month at 7:00 PM .
Confession is available by appointment (please contact one of the chaplains).
We are always on the lookout for readers, singers and helpers to join our community of English speakers.
History
In June 2002 British Honorary Consul Włodzimierz Walkowiak, US Consular Agent Urszula Dziuba and some local residents asked the Archbishop of Poznań to organize a mass in English for resident and visiting foreigners. Archbishop Gadecki willingly supported the initiative and appointed Fr. Zdzisław Grzegorz Grzegorski and Fr. Waldemar Babicz as chaplains to oversee it.
The first English mass was celebrated in the magnificent thousand year old Cathedral Basilica on August 7th, 2002.
Our Memorial Book contains many thankful inscriptions and records many visits by VIPs and diplomats.
