Basic Information

There will be no more masses until September 11th. The next mass will be held in the Cathedral. Next year masses will be celebrated on the second Saturday of every month. Time to be announced.

Confession is available by appointment (please contact one of the chaplains).

We are always on the lookout for readers, singers and helpers to join our community of English speakers.

English Bible Meetings at Pallotyni Catholic Church take place every Friday night 7:30pm to 8:30pm (after daily mass in Polish finishes, so sometimes may begin around 7:45pm ). There you can discuss the readings of the upcoming Sunday's liturgy, pray and share together. While geared towards English speaking Catholic students, all those interested are welcome.

History

In June 2002 British Honorary Consul Włodzimierz Walkowiak, US Consular Agent Urszula Dziuba and some local residents asked the Archbishop of Poznań to organize a mass in English for resident and visiting foreigners. Archbishop Gadecki willingly supported the initiative and appointed Fr. Zdzisław Grzegorz Grzegorski and Fr. Waldemar Babicz as chaplains to oversee it. In Dec 2008 Fr. Artur Włodarczak and Fr. Mirosław Tykfer became the new chaplains.

The first English mass was celebrated in the magnificent thousand year old Cathedral Basilica on August 7th, 2002.

Our Memorial Book contains many thankful inscriptions and records many visits by VIPs and diplomats.
